Cell & Module Testing
Execution of abuse tests on cell level in our bunkers. Typical experiments include nail penetration, external short circuit, local and total overheating, etc.

Cell Calorimetry (DATRC)
Measurement of the energy released by a cell during a thermal event.
The amount of energy remaining in the cell, as well as the amount ejected with the vent gas and particles, are measured independently.
Cell Vent Gas Analysis (DATRC)
Measurement of the total amount of vent gas produced by a cell during a thermal event.
The gas release rate is used to provide insights into aspects of the reaction like speed and severity.
Material Testing
Testing of material coupons under realistic thermal runaway event conditions.
Live battery cells and realistic spacings are used to reproduce real-world thermal, mechanical, and abrasive conditions.
Performance Outside Safe Limits
Performance testing of cells and packs beyond their rated safe limits, which may lead to a thermal event.
