We perform standard and custom battery cell tests, to maximise understanding of the cell’s thermal event behaviour.
Thermal abuse: Overheating, performance outside limits, etc.
Electrical abuse: Short-circuit, overcharge, overdischarge, etc.
Mechanical abuse: Nail penetration, crush, etc.

To increase your design iteration speed, we focus on testing small and representative test assemblies. These include material tests, propagation testing, as well as custom setups. We can advise on the design of the test.

We have developed a technique to simultaneously measure the energy released, as well as the amount of gas produced during a thermal event.
This enables us to capture the hazards of a cell going into thermal runaway in its entirety.
